Arnold & Porter's Washington, DC office received the 2015 Thomas L. For the tenth year, Arnold & Porter LLP has received a top rating and designation as among the "Best Places to Work" by the Human Rights Campaign. The HRC's closely watched annual Corporate Equality Index survey rates more than 1,027 businesses for their treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender workers. This year, the HRC noted that a record number of large companies, including Arnold & Porter, maintained a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality.

Colorado Supreme Court Pro Bono Recognition (2006-2012)
For the seventh consecutive year, the Denver Office of Arnold & Porter has been recognized by the Colorado Supreme Court for performing at least 50 hours of pro bono legal service per attorney (pro-rated for part-time attorneys) primarily for the indigent and/or organizations serving indigent people. Recognized firms also commit to valuing attorney pro bono hours for purposes of attorney evaluation, advancement, and compensation as the firm would value compensated client representation.

Arnold & Porter received an "Outstanding Achievement Award" in the field of Immigrant and Refugee Rights from The Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs at its annual Wiley A. Branton Awards Luncheon. The firm was honored for its work in 2010-2011 on three successful asylum cases.
2011 Certificate of Honor for pro bono Supreme Court work from the Foundation for Criminal Justice
Arnold & Porter received a Certificate of Honor from the Foundation for Criminal Justice in recognition of the firm's pro bono Supreme Court amicus curiae work on behalf of FCJ's member organization, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Arnold & Porter was recognized for the firm's representation of "the criminal defense bar before the United States Supreme Court, and, by that representation, advocating for a fair, humane and constitutional criminal justice system." MultiCultural Law magazine ranked Arnold & Porter No. 11 in its 2011 “Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity” list. Arnold & Porter was named to Conceive magazine's "50 Best Companies" list in its Summer 2010 issue. Arnold & Porter was one of only three law firms to make the list. The firm received high marks for both fertility and adoption benefits.

Arnold & Porter was named to the 2009 "50 Great Places to Work" list by Washingtonian magazine in its November 2009 issue. Arnold & Porter was one of only three law firms on the list. Washingtonian said, "Arnold & Porter is repeatedly recognized as one of the best law firms for parents," noting the firm's on-site daycare center and 18 weeks of paid leave for new moms or primary caregivers. The magazine also touted the firm "as a leader in regulatory work" and noted that "lawyers get rare hands-on experience through a program that assigns them to DC Superior Court cases."
"Law Firm of the Year" by the Colorado Lawyers Committee (2006-2008)
Arnold & Porter was named the 2008 "Law Firm of the Year" by the Colorado Lawyers Committee (CLC) for the third consecutive year at its 30th Annual Awards Celebration in Denver on May 19, 2009. Additionally, Jerome DeHerrera and Brittany Kauffman were among four nominees for the "Individual of the Year" award. In 2007, Timothy Macdonald and Susan Cole were part of the team that received the "Individual/Team of the Year" award, which pays tribute to individuals whose commitment and service have strengthened the community. More than 70 percent of the lawyers in Arnold & Porter's Denver office worked on CLC matters during the past year.
2008 "Diversity Leader" by Sodexo Law Department
Arnold & Porter was named a 2008 “Diversity Leader” by the Law Department of Sodexo Inc., a leading food service and facilities management company. Arnold & Porter was chosen as a Diversity Leader based on the firm’s expansive diversity policies and programs, which include significant recruitment and retention efforts, and its employment of diverse professional legal staff. Arnold & Porter was one of four law firms selected from among 25 firms with which Sodexo partners for its business in the US.
2008 "Green Business Award" by Washington Business Journal
Arnold & Porter was the only law firm in the country to be named the winner in "Innovation" by Washington Business Journal for their 2008 Green Business Awards. The Firm was recognized for its multi-pronged strategy to reduce consumption of paper and energy, and the acquisition of carbon "offsets" for business travel.

Arnold & Porter was named a winner in the "Legal" category for Bisnow on Business' 2008 Green Leadership Awards.
2007 EPA's Green Power Leadership Club
Arnold & Porter was the only law firm in Washington, D.C. awarded with membership to the EPA's Green Power Leadership Club for 2007. This club is an elite group of companies from the EPA's Green Power Partnership. The more than 850 organizations in the Green Power Partnership are responsible for buying green power, which helps support the development of new renewable generation capacity nationwide while also helping to protect the environment. The members of the Leadership Club have purchased ten times the minimum requirements for the Green Power Partnership.
John Pickering Pro Bono Award 2007
Arnold & Porter LLP was the recipient of the John Pickering Pro Bono Award presented at the 2007 Pro Bono Institute Gala in New York City on November 6, 2007. The firm received this special honor for its achievements in the field of public service law. Chairman Tom Milch accepted the award on the Firm's behalf paying tribute to Arnold & Porter's key pro bono lawyers of today and yesterday. The award was named for John Pickering, a founder of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering, and considered one of the greatest advocates of pro bono over the past fifty years.
2007 Empire State Counsel Honorees
Eleven Arnold & Porter lawyers were recognized by the New York State Bar Association Journal, in its February 2007 edition, as Empire State Counsel Honorees. These New York bar members have rendered at least 50 hours of pro bono service since the Empire State Counsel program began seven months ago. Arnold & Porter was recognized as one of only eight law firms in New York with 10 or more attorneys qualifying as Empire State Counsel.

Arnold & Porter was singled out for its comprehensive pro bono initiatives involving the fight against the use of "secret evidence" to justify the imprisonment and torture of US citizens abroad.
