Arnold & Porter LLP seeks candidates who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership. Outstanding law school performance is a major factor in our hiring decisions, although other activities and experience, personal references, and participation in law review or clinical legal work also are weighed. We recruit from many of the nation's top law schools and enjoy a diversity of law schools among our summer associate and new associate classes. Most of our new associates are recent law school graduates, but many new associates have recently completed judicial clerkships, worked in the government, or worked at other law firms.
