Our Summer Associate Training Program, which is run by the firm's Director of Professional Development, provides practical, real-life instruction in a variety of lawyering and business development skills.
Programs such as "The Obligations of a Lawyer" and "Brief Writing" are designed specifically for summer associates. In addition, summer associates from all offices are invited to attend a two-day training program in our Washington, DC, office to participate in hands-on, interactive training programs, including "Taking and Defending Depositions" and "Drafting for Transactions." Summer associates are also invited to attend the training programs offered to all attorneys throughout the summer. Our formal training program supplements the training summer associates receive during the course of their assignments by working with, and receiving feedback from, more experienced lawyers.
