Originally opened in 2008, the San Francisco office of Arnold & Porter grew significantly with the 2012 combination with Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin, PC. We are now among the 30 largest law firm offices in San Francisco, providing clients with advice and representation in the areas of complex commercial litigation, corporate and securities transactions and counseling, securing and enforcing intellectual property rights, environmental compliance and litigation, international arbitration, and antitrust litigation. We also have leading practices in the areas of attorney liability, tax, investment management, labor and employment, and private client services.
Our clients include FORTUNE 50 companies to start ups, and everything in between. We represent pharmaceutical and biotech companies, computer, electronics, software, e-commerce and technology companies, banking, insurance and financial services institutions, industrial, food, cosmetic, and consumer product companies, healthcare providers, hospitality companies, hedge, private equity and venture capital funds, professional sports teams, and entertainment and media companies. We have also represented more than half of California’s 50 largest law firms, as well as many prominent Bay Area high net worth individuals and families.
Our attorneys are regularly recognized by Chambers and Best Lawyers, and several have appeared on the Daily Journal’s “Top Labor & Employment Attorneys,” “Top 100 Attorneys,” “Top Women Attorneys” and “Top IP Attorneys” lists. Managing Intellectual Property magazine and LMG Life Sciences have recently recognized attorneys from our San Francisco office in their publications.
Like our colleagues across Arnold & Porter, we are passionate about community involvement. Our attorneys are actively involved in numerous pro bono matters, including representing victims of domestic violence and those seeking asylum, challenging capital punishment in California, supporting the fight for marriage equality and protecting the rights of the homeless.
