David Apatoff is a retired partner with substantial experience representing large technology companies on sophisticated contractual, regulatory, and compliance matters. He focused on federal contract law, intellectual property rights, and international transactions in the telecommunications and information technology industries.
Mr. Apatoff’s work with intellectual property included patent arbitration and licensing matters in the United States and internationally, as well as trade secret disputes and copyright issues. His trademark experience included gray market and parallel import problems in China and Central America. He also had extensive experience with the selection of proprietary standards by regulatory agencies in a variety of technologies.
He is co-author of a six-volume treatise, The Government Contract Compliance Handbook (Federal Publications, Inc.), and has lectured widely on government contract issues.
