Schreck Quoted in Bloomberg Law on Supreme Court Whistleblower Case

White Collar Defense & Investigations partner Debra Schreck was quoted in the recent Bloomberg Law article, “Whistleblower Hopes Supreme Court Will Curb DOJ Dismissal Power.” The article discusses a high profile False Claims Act case involving a whistleblower, Polansky, who sued Executive Health Resources Inc. for alleged Medicare fraud. In his bid to the Supreme Court, Polansky argued that the US Department of Justice had lost its opportunity to seek dismissal of the case when it declined to intervene early on.

Schreck told Bloomberg Law that the ruling could have a significant impact on the government, especially if the US Supreme Court rules in Polansky’s favor.
