Benjamin Kieft is an associate in Arnold & Porter's London office and a member of the firm's corporate and securities practice group.
Benjamin focuses his practice on a variety of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public and private securities offerings, and commercial agreements. He advises a wide range of clients, from public and private companies to private equity and hedge funds and has particular experience representing clients in the technology, financial services, healthcare, and life sciences sectors.
Benjamin also advises clients on UK compliance matters, including corruption and the Bribery Act 2010, financial services regulation, and corporate governance. He has assisted with investigations before the UK Serious Fraud Office and advises clients on compliance policies, including policies relating to gifts and hospitality. Benjamin has also developed and led training for clients in these areas.
Benjamin maintains an active pro bono practice and has worked closely with organizations as diverse as local community organizations and multinational human rights charities, advising on various corporate and contractual issues from day to day.
Benjamin graduated from Nottingham Law School in 2005 and trained with Arnold & Porter, before qualifying as a solicitor with the firm in 2007. He is a graduate in biochemistry and genetics from the University of Nottingham.
