FDA and Healthcare

Tony Burba is an associate in the Washington, DC office of Arnold & Porter, LLP. Mr. Burba is a member of the firm's White Collar Criminal Defense group, and advises providers and suppliers in the healthcare industry on a wide range of fraud and abuse issues. His practice involves both trial advocacy in criminal and civil actions brought by the government, as well as internal investigations and self-referrals to various regulatory authorities including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Office of Inspector General of the US Department of Health and Human Services. Mr. Burba is a former prosecutor for the Fraud Section of the Criminal Division for the US Department of Justice. While with the Department of Justice, Mr. Burba worked on the Medicare Fraud Strike Forces in Miami, Florida and Houston, Texas, where he investigated, charged, and prosecuted various healthcare providers and suppliers for Medicare fraud.

Mr. Burba graduated in the top 10 percent of his class from the University of Kentucky College of Law, where he was a member of the Journal of Natural Resources and Environmental Law as well as the Moot Court Board.
