Securities Enforcement and Litigation
Christopher Rhee, a partner in the firm's securities enforcement and litigation practice group, has experience in several high profile securities, criminal, and appellate matters. He has represented corporations, corporate officers and directors, and auditors in investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Department of Justice (DOJ), and other entities, in internal investigations, and in shareholder litigation.
Mr. Rhee has argued before the US Courts of Appeals for the DC Circuit and the First Circuit, the District of Columbia's high court, and several trial-level federal and state courts. He has filed amicus briefs before the US Supreme Court on behalf of the American Bar Association, the US Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a former Attorney General, and a former Deputy Attorney General. Mr. Rhee currently serves on the Advisory Committee on Admissions and Grievances for the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter LLP, Mr. Rhee served as a Counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, as an Assistant United States Attorney, and as the Special Assistant to Deputy Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. Mr. Rhee clerked for the Honorable Merrick B. Garland on the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit, and the Honorable Louis F. Oberdorfer on the US District Court for the District of Columbia.
