Anna Manville’s practice focuses on a wide range of intellectual property matters with an emphasis on trademarks. Her experience encompasses all aspects of US and international trademark law, including portfolio planning and brand management, clearance searches and opinions, prosecution, licensing, acquisitions, due diligence, policing and enforcement of trademark rights, domain name disputes, and opposition, and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Ms. Manville also advises clients on copyright, unfair competition, and advertising clearance issues. She has counseled leading companies in the telecommunications, food products, insurance, banking, hospitality, publishing, personal care/hair care, and pharmaceutical industries.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter LLP, Ms. Manville was a partner with an intellectual property law firm in the Midwest. Early in her career, Ms. Manville was an examining attorney at the US Patent & Trademark Office where she handled applications in the computer and electronic fields.
Ms. Manville is an active member of many professional associations and has served on committees for the International Trademark Association, the Intellectual Property Owners Association, and the American Bar Association. She has spoken at professional and client conferences and seminars on trademark topics.
