  • The acquisition of FirstLogic, Inc. by Business Objects S.A. Represented FirstLogic, a manufacturer of mailing efficiency software, in gaining early termination of its HSR waiting period.
  • SBC Communications Inc.'s US$16 billion acquisition of AT&T Corp. Represented SBC in submitting notifications and throughout various competition and telecommunications regulatory proceedings in various jurisdictions worldwide.
  • NBC's US$5.2 billion acquisition of Vivendi Universal Entertainment, creating one of the world's largest media and entertainment companies. Counseled NBC with respect to notifications to the European Commission and various jurisdictions worldwide.
  • General Electric Corporation's US$2.1 billion acquisition of Instrumentarium OYJ, a manufacturer of high-technology medical equipment. Counseled GE in connection with US antitrust review of the transaction, including preparation of the company's response to the Department of Justice's Second Request, competitive analyses of substantive issues, and preparation of company representatives for deposition.
