Practice Focus

Candida Harty is an associate in Arnold & Porter LLP’s litigation practice group where she assists clients  in complex contract disputes, internal investigations, trademark litigation related to grey market imports, and legislative issues. Ms. Harty is a regular contributor to the blog on consumer marketing legal issues, www.consumeradvertisinglawblog.com.  She also does significant pro bono work relating to family law and domestic violence issues. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Harty was a law clerk to the Honorable Zoe Bush at the District of Columbia Superior Court in both the Civil Division and Family Court. 

While in law school, Ms. Harty worked as a student-attorney with Georgetown's Domestic Violence Clinic, helping victims of domestic violence obtain civil protection orders. She was also a member of the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal and served as both member and coach for Georgetown’s Moot Court team.

Ms. Harty is currently representing a victim of domestic violence on a pro bono basis on appeal of a child custody decision.
