Jennifer Karmonick is a senior associate in the firm's product liability and mass tort practice group. She focuses on product safety regulatory matters and counseling on corporate communications issues, and also has experience in commercial and product liability litigation.
Ms. Karmonick's product safety experience includes assisting in determining when it is appropriate to notify the US Consumer Product Safety Commission of potential safety issues, reporting to CPSC on such potential safety issues, and implementing and coordinating voluntary product recalls, as well as representing clients in enforcement actions and in conducting due diligence in connection with mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Karmonick has represented manufacturers, distributors and retailers of toys, household appliances and other household goods, pharmaceutical drugs, cosmetics, motor vehicle equipment, and other products.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter LLP, Ms. Karmonick was a judicial clerk to the Honorable Franklin S. Van Antwerpen of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (2000-2001).
Ms. Karmonick graduated with high honors from the George Washington University Law School, where she was an articles editor for The George Washington University Law Review and was selected to the Order of the Coif. She also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Baruch College of the City University of New York.
