Curtis Altmann drafts and prosecutes patent applications related to biochemistry and molecular biology, genomics, agricultural biotechnology, drugs and pharmaceutical formulations, medical diagnostics, medical devices, industrial processes, biofuels and designs. Dr. Altmann supports the firm's American Invents Act post grant review practice including Inter partes review (IPR), and Covered Business Methods (CBM) and supports the interference, re-examination and litigation practices. Dr. Altmann manages a worldwide patent portfolio and docket. His practice includes copyright and trademark enforcement including ICANN Uniform Domain-Name Dispute Resolution and trademark freedom to operate review. Dr. Altmann has expertise in the fields of biochemistry, molecular biology, developmental biology, embryology, cell biology, immunology, organic chemistry, genomics, and bioinformatics.

Dr. Altmann graduated cum laude from the Washington College of Law at American University in 2011 and received his PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California at Berkeley, where he was an HHMI Pre-doctoral Fellow. Dr. Altmann was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the New York University School of Medicine and The Rockefeller University, an Assistant Professor at the Florida State University College of Medicine, and obtained his BA from the University of Pennsylvania with a major in Biochemistry.
