Alexandra Barbee-Garrett's practice involves counseling and representing clients in a wide range of government contracting matters, including contract administration, regulatory compliance, investigations and audits, bid protest litigation, and contract claims and appeals. She has also advised contractors on debarment matters, and subcontract negotiations and disputes. Ms. Barbee-Garrett has represented government contractors before the Government Accountability Office, boards of contract appeals, Court of Federal Claims, and various federal agencies.
Ms. Barbee-Garrett graduated from The George Washington University Law School, where she served as an Articles Editor of the Public Contract Law Journal, and interned for the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna at the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Office of the General Counsel at the National Aeronautical and Space Administration, and the Office of the Inspector General at the Department of Health and Human Services. Ms. Barbee-Garrett has also published extensively on government contracts matters.
Before law school, Ms. Barbee-Garrett worked for Representative Rick Larsen (D-WA) in the US House of Representatives as a legislative assistant, focusing on health care and education policy.
