Jacob Bass counsels clients on all aspects of intellectual property law. He routinely litigates patent, trademark, and copyright disputes in federal district courts and at the International Trade Commission. In addition, Mr. Bass represents clients in cross-border M&A, licensing negotiations, and other transactional matters. The companies he advises span multiple industries, including consumer electronics, medical devices, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, apparel, broadcast media, automation, and construction.
In addition to his core intellectual property work, Mr. Bass works closely with companies and high-profile individuals seeking to protect their reputations. In particular, he has represented clients in cases involving defamation claims, false advertising, and employee disputes.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Bass earned a degree in chemistry and published peer-reviewed research on novel rhenium complexes with potential radiotherapeutic applications.
