Alyssa Briggs brings more than a decade of experience in foreign policy and national security matters to her practice, providing strategic counsel and practical guidance on transnational issues. She has worked on behalf of sovereign nations in Europe and Latin America and with Fortune 500 companies, with a focus on the defense, energy, and technology sectors.

Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Ms. Briggs was a contractor at the US Department of State with responsibilities focused on the East Asian and Pacific region, including in the office of the Assistant Secretary of East Asian and Pacific Affairs. Earlier in her career she worked at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and the ASEAN Studies Center at American University.

Ms. Briggs has a BA in International Studies with honors from American University, and studied at Peking University in Beijing, China.
