David Brown concentrates his practice on the leasing, acquisition, sale, and financing of real estate. He also has experience in new markets tax credit financing transactions, having represented investors, community development entities and developers in leveraged finance projects throughout the United States. These include charter schools, hotels, health centers, universities, and manufacturing facilities.

With a strong interest in governance matters, Mr. Brown closely monitors legislative activities, with respect to the real estate industry, at the Council of the District of Columbia. He maintains connections within the Council and the city's executive in a bid to better advise clients on potential and enacted policy adjustments.

Mr. Brown was a Dean's Fellow, a White House Gold Volunteer Service Award Recipient, and the Executive Managing Editor of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quarterly Journal while at The George Washington University Law School. He was previously recognized as "Young Journalist of the Year" by the Press Association of Jamaica.
