Charles P. Guarino is an Intellectual Property attorney with over 20 years of experience in the field of Intellectual Property Law, with an emphasis on Trademark and Copyright Law.
Charles has significant experience with the management of large domestic and foreign trademark portfolios. His practice includes trademark and copyright counseling, searching, filing, and maintenance; trademark policing and enforcement; trademark practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; preparation of agreements and licenses pertaining to technology and intellectual property; counseling regarding intellectual property strategies relating to website design and the internet; domain name searching, registration and enforcement; and anti-counterfeiting and gray market rights enforcement.
Charles earned his Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Juris Doctor from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of New York and New Jersey, as well as the United States Supreme Court.
Charles has previously presented at the American Bar Association International Property Rights Conference on the topic of “Domain Names and Dispute Resolution Issues in the European Union.” He is a longstanding member of the International Trademark Association, and most recently spoke at the INTA Annual Meeting on the topic of “Best Practices for Successful Internet Copyright and Trademark Takedowns.”
