Christine Hubbard is a senior attorney with the firm and a member of the litigation group.
Ms. Hubbard has extensive experience representing clients in the investment banking and brokerage industry. Her practice includes the defense of claims by former customers alleging unsuitability, unauthorized trading, failure to supervise and related state and federal claims. Ms. Hubbard also counsels securities industry clients on issues related to broker recruitment, discipline and termination, and conducts internal investigations related to potential securities laws violations. Ms. Hubbard has defended companies in SEC investigations and related proceedings involving assertions of market manipulation, failure to supervise, insider trading and accounting fraud. She has successfully defended Bear Stearns, Pacific Growth Equities and other firms in arbitration, mediation and in compelling employment cases filed in court into arbitration. Ms. Hubbard's employment cases have involved defense of claims by former employees alleging discrimination, defamation, wrongful termination and breach of contract. Ms. Hubbard also has significant experience and expertise managing document-intensive cases including the responsibility for the collection, review, and production of documents in cases involving several million documents.
