Andrew Kress has handled all aspects of Chapter 11 proceedings, including advising and counseling boards of directors and senior management. He has represented corporations in diverse industries as debtors in Chapter 11 cases and has been involved as counsel for debtor corporations in the largest Chapter 11 cases filed, including those cases filed by Manville Corporation, Braniff Airways, Hillsborough Holdings Corporation (Walter Industries, Inc.), Evans Products Company, U.S. Home Corporation, Plaid Clothing Group, Geotek Communications, Hills Department Stores and MAGNATRAX Corporation.
Mr. Kress has represented the future representative for asbestos health claimants in the Armstrong World Industries, Inc., USG Corporation, Owens Corning, Plibrico Company and Brauer Supply Company Chapter 11 cases, financial institutions, real estate developers and other significant business entities as creditors in Chapter 11 cases, and receivers appointed by the Federal District Court in SEC enforcement actions.
Mr. Kress has participated in panel discussions sponsored by the American Association of Equipment Lessors, the American Bankruptcy Institute and Mealey's, and in a Structured Finance seminar sponsored by the firm. Mr. Kress is a co-author of The Fundamentals of Bankruptcy and Corporate Reorganization.
