Daniel M. Lewis has retired from the practice of law.  He previously led the firm’s Bankruptcy practice for many years. His practice focused on representing parties in large, complex Chapter 11 reorganizations and played a significant role in many of the country's most notable Chapter 11 cases. Mr. Lewis is also experienced in insurance insolvency proceedings. 

Mr. Lewis, who served as a panelist and lecturer, has testified before Congress as an independent expert on amendments to the Bankruptcy Code and has authored numerous articles on issues and trends in bankruptcy law.  He has also represented parties in bankruptcy-related appeals, several of which have involved novel and precedent setting issues.
