Steve Reade is a retired partner with over 30 years' experience in a wide variety of litigation and investigations. For most of the last 20 years, he primarily has focused on matters involving the pharmaceutical industry, most notably defending pharmaceutical mass torts and products liability cases. On behalf of pharmaceutical companies, he also has handled commercial disputes, false marketing claims by public and private plaintiffs, and government investigations. In addition, he has represented corporate and individual clients in numerous other matters, including employment, antitrust, professional liability, international claims, FCPA, breach of contract, and commercial fraud cases.
Mr. Reade has extensive trial experience, including numerous jury trials, bench trials and evidentiary hearings in courts throughout the country. He also has prepared or supervised the preparation for trial of scores of other cases in federal and state courts.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Mr. Reade was a law clerk for Chief Judge Samuel P. King, US District Court, District of Hawaii. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he was an Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.
