Jeffrey Yang leads the firm's China Corporate and Finance practice in Shanghai. He has more than 20 years of experience advising leading multinational companies, major financial institutions and PE/VC investors on a broad range of corporate, finance and commercial transactions including cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, foreign direct investment, license in/license out, import-export, international trade, and trade and commodities finance.

Mr. Yang also has substantial experience with capital markets and has represented both underwriters and issuers on IPO transactions, in particular, for major Chinese companies listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.

Mr. Yang also routinely advises Chinese law firms and Chinese companies on foreign national security matters including export controls, trade sanctions and reviews by foreign government's committee on foreign investment.

Mr. Yang's practice has a strong industry-sector focus in the areas of Life Sciences as well as Energy and Natural Resources.

A native of Shanghai, Mr. Yang is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Shanghainese.
