Amy Davenport is a strategic advocate who works with clients to help them understand and navigate the complexities of the federal government to further their business and organizational goals. As co-leader of the Education & Workforce Policy practice, she uses her experience and understanding of the policymaking process to advise clients on how to engage with policymakers on Capitol Hill and within the Executive Branch to solve their challenges, as well as secure key opportunities to benefit their organizations. During the COVID-19 crisis, she used this experience to advise a wide variety of stakeholders seeking economic relief through the Legislative and Executive Branch processes, including companies of all sizes and nonprofit organizations.

Amy represents a number of organizations and nonprofits that are leaders and innovators in their various industries and sectors. Given this experience, she understands there is no one-size-fits-all approach to government affairs representation and is committed to serving her clients in an innovative, strategic, and authentic manner that leads to success and produces measurable results.

Not only does she understand how to utilize the policymaking process to secure wins for her clients, but she also prides herself on being a substantive advocate who is knowledgeable about the intricacies of the policy areas in which she works. Amy advises clients on a range of legislative and regulatory matters, including those related to federal financial aid, innovative learning, student loans, Title IX, education technology, student athletes, student data privacy, and workforce development. She also advises clients working on technology and trade policy issues.

Amy also utilizes her policy and advocacy experience to help young people in Washington, D.C. She recently served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the D.C. Alliance of Youth Advocates, a coalition of more than 100 youth-serving nonprofit organizations that advocated at the local level on behalf of vulnerable youth in the District of Columbia.

A scholarship foundation in obtaining millions of dollars over several fiscal years to support scholarships for college students majoring in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics fields, as well as updated authorization language to allow the foundation to invest funds in alternative financing vehicles.
Multiple non-profit organizations in securing invitations to key White House summits, including the White House Cyber Workforce Summit and the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition, and Health.
