Sarah Gryll practices in all areas of corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and insolvency-related matters. She regularly advises troubled companies, term loan lenders, term loan agents, distressed asset purchasers, trustees, and secured and unsecured creditors in out of court loan workouts, restructurings, chapter 11 proceedings, liquidations, and litigations.

Ms. Gryll serves on the Board of Directors for Jewish Counsel for Youth Services, a local Chicago non-profit agency, and sits on the Executive Committee. She also serves as a board member on the National Immigrant Justice Center’s Leadership Board. While in law school at Emory University, she served as a Managing Editor of the Emory Law Journal and received the Pro Bono Medal.

Experience

  • Borden Dairy Company, the iconic dairy processor with annual revenues in excess of $1.4 billion, in connection with its contested Chapter 11 cases and the 363 sale of substantially all of its assets, following a 10-day "virtual" auction (one of the first of its kind) involving multiple bidders, in a transaction valued at approximately $340 million.
  • Private equity-owned dentistry and orthodontic business with 42 offices nationwide in its out-of-court restructuring and recapitalization. The transaction resulted in the company receiving a significant equity infusion to help sustain and grow the enterprise.
  • Solar panel manufacturer in an out-of-court restructuring of its funded liabilities and a recapitalization of its balance sheet by certain of its senior secured lenders.
