David Menchel has a broad-based, transactional practice, advising public and private companies, including private equity firms and their portfolio companies as well as emerging growth companies, in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, equity investments, venture capital financing, securities issuances and compliance, corporate governance/takeover defense, and other general corporate matters.

Mr. Menchel has served as corporate counsel for the Ministry of Finance of the State of Israel in connection with its US capital markets activities and securities law matters.

Mr. Menchel also has significant experience representing both buyers and debtors in bankruptcy-related M&A transactions, including debt-for-equity restructurings and asset sales under Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Mr. Menchel has counseled both US and non-US clients in a broad range of industries, including life sciences, consumer products, manufacturing, telecommunications, healthcare, financial services, energy, and government services.
