Dismissal of all US claims involving Costa Concordia shipwreck

Carnival Corporation

Our attorneys acted as lead counsel for the defendants, including Carnival Corporation and several affiliates, in lawsuits and appeals across the US arising from the widely-publicized January 2012 shipwreck involving the Costa Crociere cruise ship Costa Concordia.  Costa Concordia capsized and sank after striking an underwater obstruction off Isola del Giglio, Italy, with 4,252 people aboard.  With the final ruling by a Florida state appellate court, our firm secured the dismissal of all claims of several hundred passengers that were filed in the United States based largely on forum non conveniens or forum selection grounds.
