Headquarters project in Northern Virginia

Our attorneys represented a Fortune 500 company, in connection with its search and acquisition of a 28-acre site to develop a 1.1 million square foot headquarters in Northern Virginia.  We reviewed with the client the range of approaches under which a developer or development manager might be selected for the project, prepared the RFQ and RFP for development managers, and participated on the client’s selection panel.  We assisted the client in the selection of the 28 acre Tysons Corner, Virginia site that it ultimately acquired and represented it in connection with not only the development management agreement, but also its negotiations with the neighboring developer and all design and construction contracts for the project, as well as an analysis of density limitations affecting the site.
