In re Auto Parts Antitrust Litigation
Our firm represented Fujikura Ltd., Fujikura Automotive America, LLC, and Fujikura America Inc. in a direct purchaser class action; separate indirect purchaser class actions brought by end payors, automobile dealers, truck and equipment dealers, and public entities alleging price-fixing with regard to automotive wire harnesses and related products; and state attorney general litigation. We have reached an agreement to settle with the direct purchaser, end payor and auto dealer classes. For the public entity class, our attorneys won a motion to dismiss class allegations in 2015. For the truck and equipment dealers class, we won the first summary judgment in the automotive parts litigation in favor of Fujikura Automotive America and dismissal of Fujikura Ltd. for lack of personal jurisdiction.
We represent the same clients in an individual direct purchaser action brought by Ford Motor Company regarding wire harnesses and related products. Ford dismissed its case in August 2016 after several years of litigation. We also represented the clients in individual cases brought by the States of California (settled), Florida (settled) and Mississippi (we won a motion to dismiss for lack of jurisdiction).
