Marx v. General Revenue Corp., 133 S. Ct. 1166 (2013)

General Revenue Corporation

Our attorneys represented General Revenue Corporation in this case raising the question of whether a prevailing defendant in a Fair Debt Collection Practices Act lawsuit is entitled to recoup costs from an unsuccessful plaintiff. The Court ruled in favor of our client and held that prevailing defendants may recover costs, a decision of substantial importance to corporate defendants sued under a myriad of U.S. laws.
