Gionfreddo v. Major League Baseball Properties

Major League Baseball

Marty Glick represented Major League Baseball Properties in litigation brought initially by a purported class of all players who played baseball before adoption of the standard MLB player contract and, after class status was denied, against a named group claiming that Baseball entities had no right to use their names or likenesses in a film of classic games or in programs and other products.  Summary judgment was granted against all player claims and affirmed on appeal.
