Acquisition of 45 senior living facilities in series of transactions

Our attorneys represented Sunrise Senior Living REIT  in the acquisition of (i) a US$300 million 13 property portfolio of assisted living facilities managed by Sunrise Senior Living Management, and in connection with the related acquisition financing from Fannie Mae; (ii) four senior living facilities from affiliates of The Carlyle Group, managed by Sunrise Senior Living Management, for a total purchase price in excess of $90 million, and in connection with the related acquisition financing from Wells Fargo; (iii) four senior living facilities from affiliates of The Aureus Group, managed by Sunrise Senior Living Management, for a total purchase price in excess of $85 million, and in connection with the related acquisition financing from Prudential; and (iv) twenty-four senior living facilities from affiliates of The Arcapita Group, managed by Sunrise Senior Living Management, for a total purchase price in excess of US$500 million, and in connection with the related acquisition financing from Prudential and Fannie Mae
