Sale of convenience store division

The Kroger Co.

The firm provided Kroger antitrust advice in conjunction with the company’s sale of its convenience store division, which was eventually sold to U.K.-based privately held gas station operator EG Group for $2.15 billion. Kroger announced in October 2017 its intention to explore strategic alternatives for its convenience store business, including a potential sale, in conjunction with Restock Kroger. Mohsin Issa, EG Group's founder and co-CEO, remarked, "This is an exciting time for EG Group[.] The entry into the U.S. market presents a fantastic opportunity to deliver a successful retail offer to consumers across the various states.
