Freier Presents Legal and Patent Issues Relevant to Life Sciences Start-Ups

Frankfurt-based partner Dr. Gottfried Freier presented “Legal and Patent Issues Relevant to Life Sciences Start-Ups” as part of the one-day workshop recently held by Science4Life for its business plan competition. Science4Life is a German initiative that supports founders of start-up companies in the life sciences and chemistry fields. The initiative is supported by the German state of Hesse’s government and Sanofi.

Freier’s contribution to the workshop, which was attended by approximately 60 participants from 30 start-up teams, concerned the protection of the know-how of the founders or the company, respectively; the structuring of the relationship of the founders; suitable company types and the establishment of the company. The presentation was followed by a lively discussion.
