King to Speak at Equal Justice Conference on Social Enterprises

May 12-14, 2016
Palmer House Hilton Chicago, IL

Pro Bono counsel Alison King will speak on the “Social Enterprises: What Are They and When Are They Appropriate as Pro Bono Clients” panel at the Equal Justice Conference on May 12, 2016 in Chicago.

The session will explain key terms, provide an analytic framework and offer illustrative examples of how social enterprises present unique pro bono opportunities that transactional attorneys are well suited to provide. In addition to King, the panel will include Donnel Baird of BlocPower, Marnie Berk of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and Rene Kathawala of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP.

The Equal Justice Conference joins all components of the civil legal aid community to discuss and address issues related to the delivery of legal services to low-income individuals in need of legal assistance.
