U.S. Antitrust Enforcement Changes - “New U.S. Antitrust Leaders, New HSR Rules, A Single U.S. Merger Agency?”

Claudia R. Higgins, Antitrust Partner in the Washington, DC office, addressed the Mergers and Acquisitions Committee of the Business Law Section at the ABA 2011 Annual Meeting on August 7, 2011. In her presentation, “New U.S. Antitrust Leaders, New HSR Rules: A Single U.S. Merger Agency? What Might These Mean for Transactional Practices?” Ms. Higgins addressed important recent changes in U.S. antitrust enforcement leadership as well as revisions to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act Premerger Reporting requirements that may significantly affect many mergers and acquisitions.
The ABA 2011 Annual Meeting, was held August 4–9, 2011, in Toronto, Canada.
