Frankfurt-based counsel Hartmut T. Renz speaks on the “Amendments of the Market Abuse Directive (MAD 2/MAR)”at the FICO Tonbeller AG conference on February 11, 2015 in Frankfurt.
The amendments have a serious impact on compliance organizations within financial institutions, and will soon be extended to financial instruments and markets (MFT’s and OTF’s). Financial institutions within the EU will have to implement and put the new standards by mid-2016 into practice. Renz examines the legal developments in insider trading law, the requirements in ad hoc-disclosure obligations, directors’ dealings, insider lists, market manipulation issues, and market sounding guidelines.
