Adam Golodner Offers Insights on Reported White House Hacking in TIME

As seen in TIME’s “Why You Should Care That the White House Got Hacked”

TIME reports on a recent attempt to hack into White House computer systems. Some attributed these activities to hackers based in Russia. The cyber intrusions apparently did not access any classified networks or information; however, the reported intrusions do show that even well-protected institutions can be susceptible to cyber incidents.

The government has not publically identified the actors in this incident. Regardless of exactly who the actors were, these types of cyber incidents are becoming increasingly regular occurrences in both the private and public sectors. According to Kaye Scholer Partner Adam Golodner, Leader of the firm’s Global Cybersecurity & Privacy Group, “This is the world in which chief information security officers now live.”
