Sarah is a member of the Government Contracts/National Security practice group. She assists clients in a variety of national security and government contracting matters, including export control and trade sanctions compliance and bid protests. Before joining Arnold & Porter, she served as a naval flight officer in the United States Navy for 15 years. Sarah has a background in defense, military aviation, military strategy, naval intelligence, and national security and served as the speechwriter to the Vice Chief of Naval Operations. Her government service also includes working for the Office of General Counsel at the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General.

Sarah is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and received her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center, where she also received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with distinction in National Security Law.

Prior to law school, Sarah earned a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the United States Naval War College.
