Alyssa Calcerano advises clients on a range of privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection issues. Her practice includes supporting companies in responding to data breaches and security incidents, assessing legal obligations under evolving global, federal, and state privacy laws, and assisting with compliance programs. She also contributes to the defense of clients in privacy and data security–related litigation and investigations.
Alyssa received her law degree cum laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Catholic University Law Review. While attending law school at night, she worked as a law clerk for the Office of General Counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives, interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's Office of the General Counsel in the General Litigation Unit, and interned for the U.S. Federal Communications Commission in the Competition Policy Division, Wireline Competition Bureau. She is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) and earned a Certificate from the Columbus School of Law's Law and Technology Institute in Communications/Data Privacy Law.
