He represents global financial institutions and technology corporations in investigations and enforcement matters before federal and state agencies, helping clients navigate complex investigative, enforcement, and compliance issues while minimizing business disruption and regulatory exposure. His experience spans matters involving product safety, customs regulations, consumer protection laws, energy efficiency standards, labor and employment issues, and other federal and state regulatory regimes.
In addition to his disputes practice, he advises clients on sophisticated commercial transactions and strategic business matters. He counsels global semiconductor manufacturers in negotiating high-value supply agreements with hyperscalers, leading technology companies, and major automotive original equipment manufacturers, combining his litigation experience with practical commercial insight to help clients manage legal and business risk.
Prior to joining Arnold & Porter, Jae spent 14 years as in-house counsel for Samsung Electronics, where he served as Principal Legal Counsel. Reporting directly to executive leadership, he managed some of the company's most significant litigation, regulatory, privacy, product safety, and commercial matters throughout the United States. His extensive in-house experience provides him with a unique understanding of how legal strategy intersects with business objectives, enabling him to deliver practical, commercially focused advice to clients navigating complex legal and regulatory challenges.
