Doug Clark is a senior associate at Arnold & Porter and represents clients in complex litigation for patent, copyright, trademark, and trade secret matters involving various technologies, including electrical, software, medical devices, artificial intelligence, online assistants, mobile devices, SMS/MMS, CDMA, chip technology, oscilloscopes, LCD displays, computer hardware, memory devices, DRAM, semiconductors, solar technology, vaping devices, nicotine pouches, wires, airplane technology, truck aerodynamics, golf clubs, sports and exercise equipment, baby products, dermal fillers, and pharmaceuticals before the International Trade Commission (ITC), Patent Trial and Appeals Board (PTAB), and both state and federal courts. In addition, Doug has autonomously run dozens of individual cases and favorably settled many complex, multi-million dollar cases. Doug actively participates in the local county bar, as well as several specialty and minority bars, to include performing various leadership roles.

Prior to his legal career, Doug served in the United States Navy as a submarine officer where he completed the Navy's rigorous nuclear power program and qualified as a nuclear engineer. During his time in the Navy, Doug drafted the first submarine operating procedure for counter-terrorism, planned a majority of the submarine exercises in the Mediterranean, acted as a liaison with the Swedish submarine force, presented at a NATO conference on connectivity between militaries, managed up to 30 sailors at a time, oversaw a nuclear reactor, and was responsible for the navigation, operation, and safety of a 130-person crew during both special operations and routine training.
