Chasity Fair's practice focuses on Securities Enforcement & Litigation, White Collar Defense & Investigations, and related Complex Litigation matters. Chasity represents public and private companies, life sciences companies, accounting firms, financial services firms, and senior executives in securities class actions, stockholder derivative actions, government investigations, and enforcement actions brought by the SEC, PCAOB, DOJ, and state Attorneys General. She also represents companies, boards of directors, and special committees in connection with complex internal investigations and governance matters, including investigations arising from stockholder demands and regulatory inquiries.
Chasity has experience handling all phases of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, dispositive-motion practice, witness preparation, evidentiary strategy, trial, and the management of complex e-discovery matters in federal and state courts and arbitral proceedings. She has successfully defended securities and commercial litigation across a range of industries, including life sciences, financial services, manufacturing, and technology.
Chasity also maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on representing sexual assault survivors in both civilian and military proceedings, survivors of crime in connection with the investigation and prosecution of their assailants, and criminal defendants in federal and state court.
Chasity received her law degree from Howard University School of Law, where she served as Senior Notes & Comments Editor for the Howard Law Journal and Student Attorney for the Criminal Justice Clinic. Prior to law school, Chasity completed her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Philosophy at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
