Steven Hess’s practice focuses on antidumping and countervailing duty proceedings before the Department of Commerce and the International Trade Commission, as well as advising on U.S. customs compliance and trade policy matters.
Prior to joining the firm, he was an attorney advisor with U.S. Customs and Border protection. His experience includes tariff classification, penalty proceedings, seizures, and regulations pertaining to the importation of goods into the United States.
Steven graduated with Highest Honors from the George Washington law school, where he served as the Article Editor for the George Washington Law Review. During law school, he worked for U.S. courts at both the trial and appellate level. He also served as a Legal Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he reviewed legislation pertaining to a broad range of topics, including international trade and customs.
