Tracey Summers Kearney provides legal advice to the firm on issues related to conflicts of interest, ethics, and compliance with rules of professional responsibility. Ms. Summers Kearney conducts in depth conflicts analyses for potential lateral hires and new clients. She drafts and implements ethical screens, waivers, and notices required under the rules of professional responsibility. As a member of the firm's Ethics and Practice Committee, she regularly conducts ethics and professional responsibility training for new attorneys. She advises firm attorneys regarding annual compliance with Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts (“IOLTA”) individual reporting requirements in various states.
Previously, Ms. Summers Kearney was a Staff Attorney in the firm's Litigation group where her practice focused on the discovery phase of complex civil litigation and investigations. She worked on matters related to product liability, antitrust, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) enforcement. Ms. Kearney acquired substantial experience in managing various aspects of the discovery process in civil litigation, as well as managing aspects of government investigations. Her practice included guiding discovery teams in the assertion and defense of attorney client, work product, and other privilege claims.
