Joe focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation. He represents companies in district court, the ITC, and the PTAB in a wide range of industries and technologies, including semiconductors, telecommunications, computer software, and consumer electronics.

Experience

  • Cadence Design Systems Inc. in the successful settlement of a patent litigation brought by Bell Semiconductor in district courts throughout the country as well at the ITC. This was a nationwide dispute alleging that the entire semiconductor industry infringed Bell’s patents through use of software tools offered by Cadence. 
  • TriReme Medical in an arbitration concerning allegations of breach of a license agreement pertaining to the development of a drug-coated angioplasty balloon catheter.
  • Leading technology company in a patent infringement suit involving geolocation.
  • A leading electronics manufacturer in a patent infringement suit relating to handheld consumer electronic devices.
  • Cytiva in patent litigation involving liquid chromatography systems. The case settled favorably after successful summary judgment rulings.
