Sarah Prather represents clients in complex commercial, product liability, and toxic tort litigation in federal and state court. She has experience representing clients in matters involving breach of contract, personal injury, property damage, environmental, and consumer protection claims at all phases of litigation, including case strategy and assessment, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, and trial. Sarah’s experience includes drafting dispositive, pre-trial, and appellate briefs, overseeing discovery and fact investigation, working with experts to develop reports and testimony, and preparing cases for trial. She has argued motions, taken depositions, and conducted a direct examination of an expert witness and a cross examination of a fact witness. She also has been a key member of several trial teams.
Sarah maintains an active pro bono practice. Her experience includes representing transgender women prisoners in several civil rights actions in federal court. At a recent week-long preliminary injunction hearing, she argued a motion and conducted the cross examination of a surprise rebuttal witness. Sarah also has successfully represented a mental health nonprofit in a contract dispute and secured equal public education services for a New York City child.
Prior to law school, Sarah worked as a human capital consultant at a global professional services firm.
