Alana Reid counsels a broad range of healthcare and life sciences clients on regulatory, compliance, transactional, and legislative matters. Her clients include pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers, diagnostic testing facilities, physician practice groups, clinical laboratories, and trade groups.

Specifically, Ms. Reid focuses on fraud and abuse, government pricing, and reimbursement issues, as well as regulatory-based diligence reviews and internal compliance investigations. She has experience advocating to government regulators, such as the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the US Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, navigating regulatory complexities related to the launch of new product offerings and value-based arrangements, and advising on reimbursement and pricing strategies in both commercial and governmental marketplaces.

Ms. Reid received her JD from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor of the Virginia Law Review. Also during law school, Ms. Reid was the President of the Health Law Association and participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic. Prior to law school, Ms. Reid worked as a functionality and policy consultant for an information technology firm implementing the state-based Health Insurance Exchanges in use in two states. She received her Bachelors of Science from Cornell University in Industrial and Labor Relations.
