James K. Rideout provides legal advice to the firm on issues related to conflicts of interest, legal ethics, and compliance with the rules of professional responsibility. James conducts in-depth conflicts analysis for new hires and new clients. He drafts and implements ethical walls, waivers, memoranda, and notices required under the rules of professional responsibility.
Previously, James was a staff attorney in the firm's Litigation group where his practice focused on the discovery phase of complex litigation, regulatory actions, and government investigations. He has worked with clients in the pharmaceutical, banking, energy, and telecommunications industries on diverse matters including product liability, antitrust litigation, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) enforcement. This work provided him with substantial experience in all phases of complex litigation, including formal discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appellate review.
James earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and his B.A. in Psychology from Morehouse College.
